Prior to joining the firm, Laurie’s practice focused on plaintiff’s class action cases involving nationwide complex consumer lending, unfair trade and consumer protection, unfair lending practices, regulatory compliance, and ERISA in multidistrict litigation, in state and federal court. Her practice also included representing clients in property disputes, in commercial and consumer real estate transactions, fiduciary disputes, unfair insurance practices, and contract disputes.

Over the course of her career, Laurie has developed significant skill in litigation, defending private and public sector employers, including public Charter Schools, municipalities and government officials, police officers, and is well-versed in both state and federal court litigation, including having an extensive appellate practice. Laurie’s practice also includes successfully defending clients in administrative proceedings in matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.

Laurie advises private sector clients in developing Employee Manuals and policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, business counselling and business startup, contracts and the structuring of business relationships. She is experienced in facilitating charter school applications for new charter schools which includes representation before the Charter School Appeals Board and defending renewal proceedings.

Laurie has spent over a decade dedicating her skills to the Rare Disease, Disability and Ichthyosis communities, helping numerous families and individuals with accessing resources, accommodations, services, and medically necessary supplies. Her commitment to equity and inclusion is a driving force in her personal and professional endeavors.
