MacMain Leinhauser hosted the Inaugural Government Liability ExecuSummit on October 23 and 24 in Uncasville, Connecticut. The ExecuSummit brought speakers and attendees in from all over the country including Connecticut, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New York, Nebraska and Missouri. The event allowed insurance carriers and public officials to discuss and provide insight on the hottest topics facing government entities in today’s environment. Matthew Connell, who co-chaired the conference with David Karamessinis of Travelers, spoke on employment law and the public sector and hot topics in prison litigation. David MacMain presented on the relationship between insureds, insurers and defense counsel and hot topics in police litigation. Brian Leinhauser gave a presentation on due process protections for government employees and the 2018 Supreme Court review. This was an excellent conference to promote strategic thinking and provided insight into key legal issues impacting government entities. We are looking forward to the 2nd Annual Government Liability ExecuSummit in Fall 2019.
