Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) Civil Rights and Government Tort Liability Annual Conference

David J. MacMain recently chaired the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) Civil Rights and Government Tort Liability annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona held January 31 through February 1, 2013. As well as being the Program Chair, David assisted in moderating the program on the topic of Insurance: Coverage, Cooperation, Conflicts and Ethics. DRI is the largest international membership organization of lawyers, and in-house and insurance professionals involved in the defense of civil litigation. The conference, which was the most well attended to date, had 375 lawyers, municipal administrators and insurance professionals from all over the country. The focus of the conference was on educating and equipping people who advise, defend and represent government and governmental officials in civil rights matters including police liability, prison-based claims, employment-related matters and tort liability. David is a partner and litigator with broad and extensive trial experience having tried over a hundred (100) cases to verdict in favor of his clients. David’s practice emphasizes matters in civil rights, employment, professional defense and municipal law
