David MacMain Presents on ‘Wrongful Conviction’ and ‘Body Cameras’ at National Conference

David MacMain spoke on the challenges and strategies in defending wrongful convictions claims at the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) annual Civil Rights and Governmental Tort Liability conference held in San Diego, California on January 29-30, 2015. David’s presentation “Wrongful Convictions and Their Civil Implications”  focused on the defense and analysis of such high-profile cases. The presentation was well-received by the conference attendees made up of over 350 attorneys and insurance professionals from across the country who represent, defend and insure municipal entities.  In a smaller session of the conference, David spoke on “Body Cameras – All the Rage!” in which he discussed the use of body-worn cameras, legal issues surrounding their use, and suggested training and policy issues for law enforcement and municipal legal advisors.
