Super Lawyers and Rising Stars are national lists that recognize the work done by lawyers over 70 different practice areas. Finalists are first nominated by their peers before going through a rigorous selection process that tracks a lawyer’s courtroom record along with their accomplishments outside the courtroom including their school writings and lectures and their education and employment background. Rising Stars uses the same criteria although those candidates must be either 40 years old or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less.
